Wayne Upton

Trainee/Paralegal

Wayne Upton completed his Law Degree at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal in South Africa following which he worked at two different law firms, gaining exposure to civil litigation/dispute resolution, uncontested family proceedings and conveyancing.

In 2015 Wayne emigrated to the UK, where his family had ties, in order to qualify as a solicitor in England and Wales.  Since arriving in the UK, Wayne has undertaking various roles to gain experience of the English legal system.  This includes an adjudication role at the Motor Ombudsman, giving him valuable experience in the different forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution including adjudication, mediation and negotiation.

Wayne joined Pearson Hards in March 2018 where he undertook the role of a Paralegal in the Dispute Resolution department, assisting the partners with both Family Law and Civil Litigation matters. In September 2018, Wayne started his CIlex training with his first seat in the Dispute Resolution department. This will be followed by a rotation around the firm for the remainder of the qualifying employment.

An enthusiastic footballer and supporter, having previously played at competitive level, he now enjoys the more relaxed scene of Saturday afternoon football, golf and surfing whenever possible.
