Robert Dell

Robert Dell qualified as a solicitor in 1999. He joined Pearson Hards’ dispute resolution team in 2019 from a long career in the City. Robert specialises in all aspects of dispute resolution and has dealt with cases to trial in the County Court, High Court and Business and Property Courts.

He has experience in handling a wide range of disputes for commercial and individual clients and with particular experience in insurance law, property damage, building and construction and neighbour and boundary disputes but also a wider experience in landlord and tenant and contentious probate. Robert has a particular interest in data protection and date breach issues, including implementation of the GDPR.

Robert’s belief is that dispute resolution is about finding a solution to the problems that have arisen in an economic and cost effective way. Robert recognises that every case is different, and will explain to clients the available options, taking into account the facts and details.

Whilst court proceedings are sometimes unavoidable Robert believes the courts should be a last resort. He has experience in utilising a range of alternative dispute resolution techniques including negotiation, informal without prejudice meetings between the parties and mediation which all help to achieve a resolution without the cost of court proceedings. If court proceedings are necessary Robert is familiar with the Court Rules and will explain the steps needed clearly.

In his personal time, Robert enjoys spending time with his family and when his four children allow, loves mountain biking and playing guitar.
