Brian Vandervilt is a Trust & Estate Practitioner. He heads the Wealth Management team at Pearson Hards and has extensive specialist experience in wills, probate, trusts, powers of attorney, receiverships and wealth planning.
Brian qualified with a Diploma in Trust Law in 1967 and spent the first 25 years of his career with two of the largest City family law firms before joining the then Pearson Maddin in 1995.
Because clients’ needs vary, Brian adopts a flexible approach, offering as much or as little assistance or advice as is requested or desired. He’ll also visit clients at home and outside of normal working hours where this is helpful.
Brian is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Members of this global organisation are considered the most senior and experienced trust and estate practitioners, committed to assisting families with long term financial planning and helping them comply with the complex tax rules that surround estates, trusts and inheritance.
A regular speaker at local events, Brian is also a Freeman of the City of London and was awarded the esteemed position of Liveryman of London’s Clockmakers’ Company.
Keen on sports and athletics, Brian regularly runs marathons for charity and is involved in raising funds for causes such as Help for Heroes. He’s an active participator in squash, football, cycling and athletics - both on and off the field – chairman, legal adviser, life president and treasurer are just some of the positions he holds within various local clubs and associations.
