Trainee Solicitor Opportunities

At Pearson Hards we are always interested to hear from people who are looking to do their training contract with us.  Our training contract offers trainees a range of seats in both contentious and non-contentious areas.  The exact seats covered during the training contract will depend on the interests of the particular trainee and also the needs of the firm at the time.  We aim to accommodate our trainee’s interests so far as possible.

In order to maximise their full potential, we ask trainees to take on as much responsibility as they can and encourage them to reach this over the 2 year period. This will hopefully enable their transition into a fully qualified solicitor to be a smooth one.  We have a good retention rate with our trainees and try to offer a position to successful candidates where possible.

We look for candidates with strong academic achievement and a minimum of a Law degree or other degree plus GDL.  We also expect trainees to have completed the Legal Practice Course but do also offer paralegal positions to candidates who are in the process of completing their post degree training.

We pride ourselves in offering a friendly working environment that encourages and nurtures our trainees. The firm has a good reputation for high quality standards and a strong work ethos. We offer a competitive salary and other social benefits so that trainees feel like they are part of the firm from the outset.

We accept applications for our training contracts and the deadline for applications for 2020 is 30 August 2019.  Start dates are flexible and will depend on the individual requirements of the candidate.  If you are interested in applying for a training contract, please send your CV and covering letter to Hatice Mustafa at our office in New Malden.
